Christmas Hair Accessory Gifts and New Year's Glitz - Sparkle on Sparkle

'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse...

The presents were wrapped, set under the tree
and all that was left was a gift from Queenmee...

Thankfully, it's not quite the night before Christmas yet, and there's still plenty of time for some last minute Christmas shopping. Here at Queenmee our Christmas elves are busy wrapping perfectly pretty hair accessories, hundreds of gorgeous Christmas gifts just waiting to be unwrapped and admired under the glittering festive lights. The perfect New Year's Eve hair accessory, or a hair piece for every day elegance...

At this time of year, there is so much sparkle being thrown around that it's hard to know how much is too much. From sequined party dresses and glittery nails, to glimmery eye-shadow and sparkly hair jewellery. Personally, I'm not sure you can really have too much sparkle, but just throwing together a collection of your glittery best could turn out to be more gaudy than glam.

Today, I've selected a vintage hair claw hair accessory in Christmas red to complement my glitzy beaded black and gold top. I've styled my hair two ways, and while one look is more edgy and the other more sophisticated, both are, put simply, effortlessly chic. Your first tip is to keep the tones similar - pair burnished gold with browns and bronze for winter warming colours, or silvery blues with cool greys for icy elegance.

Both hairstyles will work for long hair or for short hair, and are easy hairstyles to throw together. For the first look, gather about a quarter of your hair into a simple half up half down style, pulling your hair only half way through on the last loop of your hair tie, then fasten the hair jaws over the hair tie.

For the second look, flip your hair over to one side for a less structured part. Sweep one side back and fasten in place with two hair grips, then clip your hair claw over the hair grips to conceal them. The hair grips will also ensure that your hair claw stays in place - this is a great trick for fine hair, as you don't need to fill the claw for it to stay in place.

Two easy hairstyles, one gorgeous hair claw. Sophistication made simple.
