Our Top Accessory Styling Tips to take you through the day in Queenly Splendour

At QueenMee we love a celebration - and creating memorable moments with our loved ones. 

How we dress has a great impact on how we feel - and there is nothing that makes us feel more Christmassy than dressing for the occasion in festive sparkle and colour.

Whether it's a quick updo for cooking with a sparkly hair claw; or a glamorous winter headband for your Christmas Day walk - we've got a styling idea for you. 

Time is often of the essence, with so much to do on the day itself, so we have put together some styling tips that are super quick and simple - and should leave you plenty of time for a glass of fizz with the ones you love the most!

1) A velvet bow hair clip for effortless glamour 

Hair Bows have been very popular this season - they add vintage-infused glamour in such a quick and easy way.

It's the perfect accessory to add a touch of chic during present opening!

They can be worn in so many ways - you can style them with a ponytail, a braid, or like how we have in a half up half down hairstyle.

To create this look all you need to do is grab 2 sections of hair from the front.

You then pull them towards the back of your head and secure with the clip on the bow. For extra security, or if your hair is thicker, secure with a hair elastic first and use the bow clip to hide the the elastic.

For extra shimmer, pair this gorgeous hairstyle with our statement earrings, to feel delightfully Queenly on the big day. 

This is one of our personal favourite hairstyles here at QueenMee HQ, that we wear all the time. We love the playful charm of hair bows. 

We used our Red velvet alligator bow for this hairstyle but if you want even more Va Va Voom our Green velvet hair bow would look fabulous for a pop of festive colour.

 

2) Stylish Winter Headband for Chilly Christmas walks

Christmas day walks are a lovely part of the big day, and even when the wind is blowing, we want to feel fabulous while staying nice and toasty warm.

Winter headbands are the most stylish and easy way to keep you  cosy, while also adding uplifting festive sparkle. This headband even comes with a pearl brooch for a twist of vintage-inspired glamour. 

Our Green sparkle winter headband is a great pop of festive colour for a Christmas day stroll with your loved ones.

 

3) Twisted half up Half down Updo 

On a busy day like Christmas, where there are so many things to do, having your hair up can make life much easier. In particular if you're cooking - this is the perfect hairstyle for you.

To give you a sparkling lift - use one of our jewelled hair claws to make your hair shine.

For this gorgeous hairstyle you gather up half of your hair, and twist it around.

Then wrap your hair as if you were putting it into a bun but stop half way - and use your sparkling hair claw to secure that updo!

It is done in 3 simple steps - it is such an easy and quick style to create. 

We used our jewelled red hair claw for this style but our silver and gold hair claw would look just as festive!

The boldness of the red shimmer is a gorgeous way to make you feel super-glamorous for Christmas day.

 

 

4) Classic Headband hairstyle with some undone curls 

Jewelled Headbands are the quickest way to add sparkle to finish off your Christmas Day! 

You may be tired at the end of a busy day - there's no need to do anything other than pop it on, and your look is instantly elevated. 

If you do have an extra 5 minutes to make yourself feel even more fabulous, you could add a curl to your hair.

Any headband will elevate your look; but our favourite for this job is our Green velvet pearl headband. It just oozes effortless glamour.

 

5) Vintage brooch for a final festive touch 

For a final festive touch to your Christmas day look - add a gorgeous brooch for extra interest and sparkle. 

Brooches are very quick to add to a favourite jumper or jacket; and they bring an eye-catching, finishing touch. In our book - you can never have too much shimmer, especially at Christmas!

Our vintage pearl and crystal gold brooch is a perfect for a touch of feel-good glamour. The starburst-inspired design feels festive (but it works all year round too). 

Try adding to your coat for your Christmas day walk, or wear on a sweater for your Christmas evening meal.
